Scientists and experts from industry, universities, and institutes are cordially invited to attend the International Conference and to contribute to its scientific program.

Abstract information

Extended abstracts should be up to one A4 page long.

Please follow the additional instructions for preparing abstracts according to the Abstract template.

Please ensure that all links are removed prior to sending your abstract.

Abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts in the above style.

Each conference participant may present only one paper, but may be a co-author of multiple contributions.

Abstract deadline submission is 31st May 2026.

Each registered participant may have only one oral or poster presentation, but may be a co-author on another presentation by a registered participant.

Exhibitors

A technical exhibition of materials, equipment, and scientific literature will be held simultaneously with the Conference. Booths measuring 2 m x 3 m, with a table and two chairs, will be available. They will be in front of the conference halls.

Language

Conference language is English.

Oral presentations

• Plenary Lectures: 40 minutes

• Invited Lectures: 25 minutes

• Regular Contributions: 15 minutes (in parallel sessions)

• Young Researchers: 10 minutes (including discussion)

An overhead projector and a computer for presentation will be available. The presentation should preferably be prepared in PowerPoint (.pptx, .ppt, ...) or in PDF format. Presentations should be uploaded to the computer available for presentations during breaks in order to avoid delays.

Poster presentation

Poster board area is 1.2 m high and 1 m wide. The lettering must be large enough to read text and drawings from a distance of 1.5 meters. The paper title and the list of authors, along with their addresses and affiliations, should be at the top of the poster area.

Proceedings

Abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts. Selected manuscripts will be published in MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGY in one of the first issues in 2027, following the standard peer-review procedure. The journal has been indexed in the SCI database since 2007.

Manuscripts should be submitted not later than 1st October 2026 to the journal Materials and Technology editorial office with the annotation for 31 ICM&T.

The registration fee payment deadline is 31st May 2026. Registration is confirmed upon receipt of full payment confirmation (by e-mail).

The registration fee includes: conference materials, coffee breaks, lunches, and a social event with music and a standing buffet.
Conference material can only be collected in person by a conference participant. If registered participants fail to attend the conference, no conference materials will be made available to them.

Refund Policy
Refund requests must be submitted in writing by 15th September 2026. A 100 EUR administration fee will be applied.

VISA Requirements
All foreigners, non-EU citizens, intending to enter Slovenia should provide the documentation required to justify the reason and duration of their stay, as well as, in some prescribed cases, the availability of adequate economic means and lodging.
